Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company: General Management Intern (Washington, D.C.)
OVERVIEW
The General Management Intern would support the day-to-day operations of the Tony Award-winning Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. The department's scope of work encompasses Operations, Rentals, and Front of House Management. The Intern will work closely with the General Manager and Rentals & Operations Manager on a number of key projects within the administration department related to the summer 2025 production and the upcoming season. Possible projects are detailed below.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the day-to-day operations of the Woolly Mammoth Administration Office. Specific activities will be catered to the individual but may include any or all of the following:
Participate in General Managment, Artistic, and Production (“GMAP”) meetings to discuss contracting and support production and general management with distribution and fulfillment of agreements.
Work together with the General Manager to bring Woolly Mammoth’s strategic plan to life
Actively engage with and support the season planning process (reading plays, thinking about departmental opportunities, etc.) through the lens of general management
Assist with Front of House operations and learn how event management functions at the theatre
Assist with contracts for the upcoming season of programming and learn how to work with unions
Special project:
Work with Rental & Operations Manager to update and track rental client outreach, draft and track client proposals, create contracts, and execute rentals and other internal events
All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION
$22.50 per hour
INTERNS WILL WORK 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.
Internship Period: June 5 – August 6
Total Weeks: 9 weeks
Work Hours per Week: 28
Total Hours: 252
Workdays: 4 days per week onsite (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays)
Work hours will be 10:00-6:00
PROGRAM DAY:
On Wednesdays, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.
These hours are separate from the internship hours.
