Artist RESIDENCY PROGRAMS

We partner with schools and community organizations to help young people develop their creative vision and artistic skills through visual arts workshops led by professional artists.

Studio artist instructors work with children and young people at schools, early learning and community centers, or libraries—fostering individual, family, and community engagement in arts learning.

CREATIVE START

A discovery-based visual arts program that provides early learning opportunities for children ages two through seven, professional learning for educators, and art-making experiences for families.

Provides units of open-ended exploration that include painting, collage, wood sculpture, clay, puppetry, and printmaking.

Currently offered in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Cleveland preschools.

Arts Intern paid summer internships are available for college students at arts and cultural organizations in Cleveland this summer. Students earn a competitive hourly rate while completing meaningful work as member of a professional team. The program also includes access to special events and arts programming throughout the internship.

Cleveland State University Creative Arts Fellowship

Cleveland State University (CSU) Creative Arts Fellows gain valuable professional experience while being paid a competitive rate. We believe that artists bring a unique perspective and ability to nurture the creative spirit of young people. As a Studio artist instructor, you may work with children and young people at early learning centers, schools, or libraries, fostering individual, family, and community engagement in arts learning.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

Our visual arts curriculum is based on decades of research and practice by the Studio in a School Association. Working closely with school leaders, we will develop and implement a customized program that complements other Studio programming or provides standalone arts-focused professional learning for your instructional team, depending on your needs.
